The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine provides science-based diagnostic services of the highest quality in anatomic pathology and laboratory medicine; pursues innovative basic and clinical research dedicated to improving the diagnosis and management of human disease; and promotes an integrated scientific and clinical educational experience for pathology residents and fellows and Weill Cornell medical and graduate students. Many of our pathologists are listed in "Best Doctors" in NYC and America, are considered thought leaders in their field by virtue of their scholarly activities (including the publication of key textbooks in pathology), and are supported by extramural research grants to pursue innovative research in oncology, immunobiology, and vascular biology.
