Realtime Bridge Scanning using Radar

The Metasensing radar when used in RAR mode (Real Aperture Radar) can scan an entire structure for synchronous multi-point displacement monitoring in real time, with up to 4000 scans per second. In this video, the response of a rail bridge is monitored as trains of different type, speed and load pass. The differences in modal frequencies are easily visible. This type of scanning can be used on bridges, buildings, poles, towers, and any other structure where realtime sub-millimetre displacements and frequency scans are required. Sub-millimetre scanning can be achieved from up to 4km away from your structure, and at a typical distance of tens or hundreds of metres, the grid scanning resolution is typically 0.5 metres.
