I've been using Huawei's P Smart 2019 budget-friendly smartphone for a few days, ahead of my in-depth review - and here's my love and hate list, detailing the best and worst features of the new P Smart. Huawei's updated budget blower boasts the latest Android Pie and EMUI 9 software, which is great to see, as well as a surprisingly good dual-lens camera. That brilliant Night Mode is back on the P Smart 2019, so you can shoot great low light footage - although the video results aren't great. We're also a bit put off by the performance - the Huawei P Smart 2019 is surprisingly jittery at times, despite sporting the same Kirin 710 specs as the Honor 10 Lite. Speaking of which, this new P Smart is almost identical to Honor's phone for software and hardware, so why were these two phones both launched back to back in 2019? Despite limited performance, you can play PubG Mobile no problem on the P Smart 2019, thanks to Huawei's GPU Turbo feature. And the battery life is splendid too.
