Review of the LG Tone Free (HBS-FN6) True Wireless Earbuds, fresh new Bluetooth buds offering wireless charging, Meridian audio and UVnano self-cleaning tech. I've been testing the LG Tone Free earbuds for over a week now and here's my final verdict - are they among the best buds of 2020? These IPX4 TWEs are light and compact, as is the dinky case, although I did find that they fidgeted a lot in the ear. You have full touch controls for pausing your music, skipping tracks and changing the volume, with customisation on LG's Tone Free app for Android and iOS. You can also tweak the sound using presets and an equaliser in that app. The Tone Free HBS-FN6 aren't the best for bass, compared with rivals from Anker Soundcore and Jabra. However, the sound is crisp and clear and vocals in particular sound really good. My favourite True Wireless Earbuds at this price point remain the Creative Outlier Gold, although a bit more cash will bag you the excellent Jabra Elite 75T.
